Triton arrived at VCA Greater Savannah Animal Hospital with a broken leg, seemingly about to receive much-needed help. However, his owner took him out of the car, drove away, and abandoned him.
Triton was left confused, heartbroken, and alone.

Staff at the animal hospital spotted Triton in the parking lot and quickly came to his aid. They informed the Humane Society for Greater Savannah, performed X-rays, and cast his leg free of charge, determined to help the pup after all he had endured.

The Humane Society for Greater Savannah took in Triton and promptly sought a quiet foster home where he could recover peacefully, away from the shelter.

Nina Schulze, adoptions manager at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah, told The Dodo that he is a shy boy who blossoms with love and a sense of safety.
Triton quickly found a foster family and is now healing and feeling much better.

The shelter shared that he’s recovering well, surrounded by love and tranquility. They praised his quick adjustment to the cast and his adorable hop out the door, adding that this sweet boy deserves all the love.
Triton faced a tough beginning, but he’s finally discovering love and embracing it wholeheartedly.
