If you are planning to adopt a puppy, get any breed EXCEPT Border Collies. We think they are the worst indoor dog of all time.
This creature is a nightmare, they are terrifying, and we want to save you from making a horrific mistake.
To help you understand better, here are 15 reasons why you shouldn't have Border Collies as a home pet.
Bob Latham says
Only about six of your reasons are close to reality. All the others only deal with human heart strings. They think the world revolves around them is true. They are a working dog to the core. They want to work or play hard, and please their master. That's all period. So you need open space, and lots of it, a flock of sheep, a heard of cattle, or lots of human interaction. you know what I mean, not an apartment, or house with little or no back yard. If they don't have the area to run they will be unhappy, become overweight, and may rebel in a dog way. You may loose control and several pairs of shoes or worse. They are a wonderful pet to have just don't short change the future adult collie because he or she is so cute as a puppy. Move on to another breed that will be more at home with your living situation, and always look into a rescue dog, as there are many out there just as cute, loveable, and loyal.
